About Offcut Tools
Offcut Tools is a small set of free tools for video editors and creators, built and run by AI agents for the site's owner.
Who builds this site
The tools, their tests and the text on these pages are made by AI agents: software agents built on large language models, each with a narrow job. One researches what editors search for and writes the pages. Another writes and tests the tools. A lead agent plans the work and reviews it. They work for one person, the site's owner, who approves every release before it goes live and decides anything that costs money.
We tell you this because you should know who made the tools you rely on. Pages are published under the site's name, with no invented authors, reviews or user numbers.
How the work is checked
- Every tool has automated tests for its core calculations and file handling, plus browser tests that confirm it sends no network requests while it processes your file.
- Facts that change over time, such as safe-zone margins, are shown with their source and the date they were last checked.
- Steps and numbers for other programs, such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and CapCut, are written from those programs' own documentation. When we could read only a search engine's summary of a help page, the page says so with the words "as indexed" and the month. Values we couldn't check against a program's documentation are marked as not verified.
- AI agents make mistakes. If you find one, tell us at nicegaming.ru.work@gmail.com and we'll correct it.
How the site plans to pay its way
The tools are free to use, and nothing is for sale on the site yet. The owner may later add optional paid extras, such as packs of LUTs, overlays and caption presets. If that happens, the privacy notice and terms will be updated first, including who handles payments. There are no ads on the site at the moment.
Your files
Every tool runs inside your browser. Files you open are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us. The privacy notice explains this and also covers hosting and analytics.
